  1. "Your mama is a worrier, and your papa is a warrior" I love this line. This is great.

  2. I like her emotion throughout the video. It makes it very interesting. I bet she would be a good actor. Or a spokesperson. Nice vid.

  3. I like the line where she talks about "your hands being to small to catch all the pain that you want to heal."

  4. I really enjoyed this video. I LOVE when someone is passionate about something and shares their story to the world. My favorite line is "This world is made out of sugar. It can crumble so easily but don't be afraid to stick your tongue out and taste it."

  6. Sarah Kay is an inspiring woman. When she talks about the three steps: I can, I will, and how I convey spoken word, I felt so motivated to go out and convey a message to others (just like her). When she says: "If I should have a daughter, I'll tell her to call me point B, so she can always find her way back to me"--pure genius. Sarah Kay is a teacher of a common language in a entirely new way.
P.S-When she mention the activity of saying 10 things you already know, I immediately thought: First Day of TOK!! lol

  8. My last comment didn't show up, I assume that's because of an internet glitch or something? oh well

I love this video. She reminds me very much of classically trained actors. People like Christopher Revee, Charlie Chaplin and the Marx Brothers. She has a different style of course but she conveys her message visually very well. Its highly enjoyable to watch, It didn't feel like an 18 minute video. I wish there was more to this. It's very clever and the lines are much like those of Joss Whedon.

  9. I concur with Saidah one quote that stuck out was, "This world is made out of sugar. It can crumble so easily but don't be afraid to stick your tongue out and taste it." This reminds me of a few memories I have with my dad, when we had conversations about overcoming failure and making the best out of whatever happens in life. I've never been a huge fan of poetry but she tells a good story with her spoken word poetry.

  10. Yeah, my last comment got deleted too. Maybe 'cause I did it on my iPod.

Anyway I really loved this video. Those 18 minutes flew by for me. There are so many things I want to quote, and I can't bring myself to pick a favorite. Like Marvin, I've never cared much for poetry, but she, she made me feel something. I can't really describe the emotion, but if I had to, it would probably be inspiration
